Impact sound reducing acoustic mat.
Application
Suitable for internal applications, such as:
- Renovation and new construction of domestic and commercial areas with loads up to 2 kN/m².
- Decoupling and sound reduction system for the installation of tiles, slabs, natural stone and concrete pavers.
- Domestic bathrooms and wet areas with ARDEX Waterproofing Systems. Not suitable for permanently wet areas, such as public showers.

Description
ARDEX DS 40 is an acoustic mat designed to effectively reduce impact sound. Some of its features include:
- Pre-cut mats with simple installation.
- Mat thickness of 4.5 mm to minimise build height.
- Crack bridging function – allows safe installation onto critical substrates.
- Reduction of impact and air-borne sound transmission up to 14 dB.
