One City Square, Bradford - Bespoke Illuminated Handrail

ASF were approached at very short notice to develop an illuminated handrail system for the above project. From point zero ASF had 8 weeks to design, develop, manufacture and deliver an illuminated handrail system using linear lighting in a bespoke square section and flat bar design set of step units - some in the style of the Spanish Steps and one large long and wide area. Atop the square section handrail was to be a timber cladding - this created some issues as the requirements and stability of the linear lighting were at odds with the movement created by the timber, so ASF had to be creative when designing a system that would suit all elements. The job was delivered on time and on budget and installed by a tame sister company that supplied fixing engineers and electricians to site, that were themselves manages indirectly by ASF.
