Portsmouth Road is an eight-storey residential property consisting of 84 apartments with street-level retail space, a gym and parking. The block is owned by Vivid Housing and occupies a position bound by busy roads and a railway line in Cosham, an urban neighbourhood of Portsmouth, on the south coast of England. 

As a result of recommendations made by the Hackitt Report (Building a Safer Future), and subsequent changes to regulations regarding the safety of high-rise buildings – particularly residential – many building owners across the country have chosen to completely replace the exterior cladding on their properties to ensure compliance.
