Capstone Green, Chatham

ITP’s FlameOut Breathe flame-retardant breather membrane has been chosen for an eco-friendly development of shared ownership homes in the Medway district of Kent.

Situated near Chatham town centre, Capstone Green comprises 64 properties including 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and 3 and 4 bedroom houses from developer, L&Q Estates. The homes are constructed using innovative building methods which are considerably kinder to the environment, maximising floor and roof space, with increased energy efficiency and greater sound insulation.

Leading specialist façade contractor, Apex Facades, installed over 2,000m2 of cladding across the development. Apex also fitted FlameOut Breathe within the external wall to facilitate the release of internal moisture and prevent the build-up of condensation within the insulation layer. The membrane also provides W1-rated water tightness for highly effective protection against the ingress of rain. FlameOut Breathe is compliant with all regulations including a Euroclass B,s1-d0 rating which meets requirements for fire safety in external wall systems.
