The Smith, Kingston Upon-Thame

In 2021, The Smith, a real estate development located in Kingston-Upon-Thames, was completed. With 40,000sq ft of Grade A office space, the development offers a mixture of lease types including co-working spaces, serviced offices, and managed space. The building promotes wellbeing with private and communal outdoor spaces to encourage you to get fresh air alongside an indoor break-out space to wind down in.

Challenge

The client had concerns about access into The Smith’s reception area before staff and visitors reach the lift lobby. However, with limited space, the solution had to fit into restricted area without compromising on the modern interior within the reception. In addition to this, it was also important to the client that the solution provided would help the building to maintain it’s enhanced energy conservation provisions.
