OVERVIEW
John Coward Architects Ltd specified Marley Western Red Cedar Shingles in order to complement the surroundings.
They recognised the excellent aesthetic qualities, and provided a low-maintenance building with a high level of thermal insulation, whilst also meeting the planning authorities' requirements of keeping the building sympathetic to the historic church on the same site.
Marley supplied 450 bundles of treated Western Red Cedar Shingles, 35 bundles of treated Western Red Cedar ridge cappings, and 120 kg of nails.
Western Red Cedar Shingles are a stunning, unique material that tells a story through time. From the warmth of the fresh Cedar, aging beautifully to a silver grey hue with each passing season.
