OVERVIEW
The regeneration work has been delivered by Fenland District Council and Cambridgeshire County Council with funding from the Government's Future High Streets Fund, the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority and the County Council's March Area Transport Study (MATS).
This once in a lifetime regeneration and improvements works has created a beautiful pedestrian area with increased accessibility to public space, providing seating, planters and trees within it.
The investment in March will help the town centre become more resilient and fit for the future through its evolution in adapting to the changes in consumer demand, and the needs of future generations as the town grows.
The benefits of an open space are so often visual, but this scheme has also benefitted from reduced pollution, minimalised standing traffic and brought back a focus on the historic and key points of interest.
BBS were able to offer the exacting materials specified by the client to an agreed delivery schedule, ensuring the project was kept on track and supplied with quality stone paving and customised units. The Indian Camel sandstone supplied is part of the BBS range with large stocks of our City Blend held in the UK and available for delivery.
BBS would like to extend thanks to Octavius who are delivering an excellent scheme to the highest standards, and we look forward to working on future schemes with the team.
