Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School is a TK–8th grade community day school that brings together children from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. From age 4 through 14, they welcome students who are ready to think deeply, question meaningfully, and grow ethically.

With rapid growth, Gideon Hausner had a desperate need to expand their facilities. The lack of gymnasium/theatre space prevented the school from hosting their own home games and productions.

Solution

Hussey Seatway’s TP telescopic system was the ideal solution. We designed a telescopic seating unit with an extensive range of features to meet the customer’s exact specifications. The seating system features soft-start power operation, intermediate steps with aisle lights. To ensure that the seating could quickly and easily be configured to accommodate both sporting and other events, an electronic partial opening selection was installed allowing the unit to be opened to pre-set configurations at the touch of a button.

The platforms feature self-storing side rails and removable front rails, both with tinted acrylic infill panels, as well as twist & store P rails in the aisles. The platform decks are carpeted as standard and the system features laminate fascia’s to improve the appearance of the unit when closed. Fully upholstered Gallery 3 chairs were the specified seating type, chosen to provide outstanding levels of comfort and high specification finish. The chairs feature wooden arms and automatic operation dual action gas struts. Custom brushed aluminium donor plates were also installed to the customer’s requirements.
