NYU London is an affiliate of New York University, which creates a study abroad programme of exceptional quality for its students, offering around 450-500 undergraduate students per semester. This year, NYU London moved to its new location at 265 Strand, in the heart of central London. Now, 265 the Strand contains larger lecture halls, allowing the site to invite renowned academics from across the United Kingdom for discussions and events.

Solution

The client required a flexible teaching space, and our S200 LTR was deemed the perfect choice. At the touch of a button, the seating can be closed away to enable the versatile use of their teaching spaces.

The retractable chairs incorporate a continuous writing ledge that uniquely folds and creates a fascia to the system. When closed, these were finished in a high-quality Oak veneer. Within the treads of the retractable structure, we incorporated PixelTUF USB and power charging sockets, a must-have for any modern teaching space.
