Customer needs
Founded in 1725, Sir William Perkins’s School has been at its current site since 1819. Today, it has around 600 pupils and in Summer 2015, building work began to construct a new block that would house a drama studio, music practise facilities, a careers and Sixth Form area and a new atrium café.
As the provider for the site’s existing fire and intruder systems, the Johnson Controls team arranged a demonstration of the new ZETTLER PROFILE system. Its capabilities impressed the facilities team at the school to such an extent – the PROFILE system was selected there and then - as the system for the new building.
Having been impressed with the quality of the new system, when the school encountered problems with the fire detection equipment in another area of the site, Johnson Controls was once again called in and replaced the existing Minerva MZX system with the ZETTLER PROFILE.
Johnson Controls solution
Already listing Sir William Perkins’s School among its customers, the installation of the ZETTLER PROFILE system across the premises is another example of Johnson Controls market-leading technology and expert, efficient service.
Built on the latest digital fire detection technology, ZETTLER PROFILE offers the highest levels of safety to protect lives and reduce false alarms. This user-friendly panel is also
backwards compatible, allowing it to interface with older Minerva MZX panels, reducing the complexity of system upgrades, making the installation process quicker and cost-efficient.
Similarly, the system has been designed to facilitate future advances in fire detection technology, as well as being easily expanded.
