OVERVIEW
Parade Gardens, St Helier, Jersey – A Landmark Playground for a Landmark Location
Redlynch Leisure was proud to deliver a large-scale playground redevelopment at Parade Gardens, located in the heart of St Helier, Jersey. As one of the island’s most prominent and heavily used play areas, the site demanded a creative, high-impact design that would appeal to a wide range of users and stand the test of time.
A Thoughtful Two-Zone Layout
To cater to a broad age range and provide age-appropriate challenges, the playground was divided into two distinct zones:
Landscape-Led Design Approach
The scheme was driven by a strong landscape-led philosophy. Natural contours, thoughtful planting, boulders, and a mix of surfacing materials were incorporated to ensure the design blended seamlessly with the park’s setting. The combination of wet pour rubber, artificial grass, and TigerMulch provided not only safety and durability but also visual and tactile variety underfoot.
A Collaborative Effort
The success of this project was underpinned by a close working relationship with a highly engaged and passionate client. Their hands-on involvement throughout the design and installation process ensured the final result truly reflected the community’s needs and aspirations.
