The challenge

The Brickyard is a striking new development in the heart of up-and-coming East Ham. This development needed an aesthetically pleasing 120 minute fire rated mail and parcel solution that complimented the buildings interior design. The residents were already receiving high volumes of parcels, and the development needed a secure and futureproof solution to handle the growth of parcel delivery.

Our approach

Working closely with Populo Living, the design team, architects, and interior designers, we created a perfect solution for this development. We manufactured, supplied and installed our 120 minute fire rated mailboxes along with our 120 minute fire rated intelligent parcel lockers, myRENZbox. Both products were supplied in RAL 5003 Sapphire Blue, complimenting doors and buildings aesthetics. All products were seamlessly wall recessed flush fixed. Our FR2 mailboxes have been tested by Warringtonfire to BS EN 1363-1:2012 which means they perfectly meet the requirements for the development and our 2-hour fire rated intelligent parcel system, myRENZbox, futureproofs this development from the ever-growing parcel influx.

The benefits

Residents of this development can now conveniently and safely access their mail and parcel deliveries 24/7, with efficient use of technology. The fire rated mailboxes are recessed into the walls allowing the walkways to remain clear and can maintain the walls integrity for 120 minutes, therefore preventing spread of a fire, allowing residents time to evacuate in an emergency.

The development has taken full advantage of our 2-fire rated myRENZbox intelligent parcel lockers. Allowing safe and secure parcel storage, full traceability of deliveries and 24/7 access to residents. With the ability to hold back or contain a fire for 2 hours the system also ensures parcels have a home and prevents obstructions, fire hazards and parcel theft. Full traceability via the portal and app ensures carriers and residents are automatically communicated to via the platform.

Dealing with the constant stream of parcels can be a full-time job so this intelligent parcel system will also free up staff time. Our parcel lockers are accredited to IASME IoT Cyber Assurance Level 2, the highest level of cyber security certification giving residents and building managers peace of mind that their data is secure.
