OVERVIEW
This beautiful seven-bedroom detached property, situated in Winkfield, Windsor, accommodates five reception rooms, including a drawing room, family room and dining room, in addition to a swimming pool and tennis court within the grounds.
The owners researched for a product that could be applied over the limewashed surfaces, as a result of which they found KEIM. Richard Perry of KEIM Mineral Paints visited the property and produced a comprehensive specification for the owners.
As part of the preparatory work, any loose, flaking and unstable material was removed back to a sound edge, ensuring that any limewash paint was sound and adhering well.
All surfaces were then washed down with clean cold water to remove all surface dirt and dust.
The whole of the exterior facades were decorated using KEIM Mineral Paints.
KEIM Fixativ was diluted 50:50 with water over the limewashed surfaces to consolidate the dusty substrate.
KEIM Soldalit Grob was used equalise textural differences on the surface, followed by a two-coat application of KEIM Soldalit-ME.
KEIM Soldalit-ME is an exterior mineral paint with the added benefit of cleaning the air due its photocatalytic properties.
