Timber loft ladder provides access to solar inverters in new-build housing development

OVERVIEW

The Designo timber loft ladder has been chosen for a new-build housing project in the Shropshire village of Kinlet. The development of fifteen energy efficient homes utilises the latest green technology, including air-source heat pumps and photovoltaic (PV) solar panels. As such, an insulated and airtight loft ladder was required for gaining access into the loft space to maintain the solar inverters.

The Designo, from Premier Loft Ladders, offers a U-Value of 0.60 W/m2K and a class 4 certified airtight seal. Furthermore, it benefits from a load rating of 180kg per tread. As a result, it offers the perfect means of access into the lofts for maintenance of the solar inverters.
