Description

Dura Platform 40 is suitable to enable the re-gauging of existing platforms to meet Platform Train Interface (PTI) requirements by overlaying onto existing structures, or for extension and refurbishment of steel and concrete trestle systems. This innovative modular system is an approved product on Network Rails infrastructure list and meets specifications for composite platforms – spanning up to 1.5 m. This product was selected due to the fact it can be moved into position without heavy equipment, reducing cost and overall installation time.

Dura Platform is an excellent choice for both new build and refurbishment projects and is fast becoming a viable rival for traditional materials such as concrete, steel and tarmac. Its hidden fixing system minimises trip hazards, and the platform is also crankable to create an instant 1:40 fall to manage drainage.

Our latest innovation for Dura Platform includes the option of a solid surface on the 600mm plank which removes the need for longitudinal cover plates to cover the fixings and provides a uniform, aesthetically pleasing finish.

Features & Benefits:

  • Anti-slip surface and flush tactile plates: No trip hazard; reduces slips trips and falls.
  • Span of 1500 mm per 5 kN/m² uniformly distributed load (UDL).
  • Water drains effectively, and crankable to create an instant 1:40 fall to manage drainage.
  • Integral lines, which need little maintenance.
  • Lightweight design: can be handled without cranes.
  • Aesthetically pleasing finish with no ugly fixing points (subsurface fixings).
  • Reduced cost of substructure.
  • Modular installation.
  • Improved heating distribution.
  • Improved fire performance.
  • Surface is stable for years, including colour.
  • Design life of 60+ years.
  • Viable alternative to traditional platform materials such as concrete, steel and tarmac.

Platform Options:

A range of additional or complementary features are available, including:

  • Single or double LED light strips (coper panel).
  • Integrated heating to remove frost and ice build-up.
