Description

Fabcel® Pad

These pads are manufactured from nitrile rubber in a range of types and thicknesses that allow for optimal loading and isolator performance. The unique cell geometry is specifically designed to maintain the proper shape factor for the pads when under load, allowing the pads to support more load than other rubber pads of the same size and thickness.

Features and benefits:

  • Accommodates loads up to 300 psi.
  • Minimum vertical natural frequency of 5 Hz and a minimum horizontal natural frequency as low as 3 Hz.
  • High energy storage rate per unit volume which makes it suitable for most shock isolation applications.
  • May be bonded together (layered) to achieve the desired isolation efficiency.
  • Can be supplied as sheets, cut pads, washers and OEM parts.

DIMFAB 280

These pads are a proven solution where structure-borne noise, vibration, and shock isolation is required on surface ships and submarines. It exhibits good drift resistance and is able to withstand hostile environments.

It is relatively easy to install as it can be cut with scissors or a sharp knife, and can be easily stacked for greater thickness.

Features and benefits:

  • Manufactured from a custom blend compound which meets qualification requirements for "Distribution Isolation Material" (DIM) by the US Department of the Navy, and military specification MIL-D-24709.
  • Meets the environmental specifications, including salt spray, temperature storage, oil immersion, fungus, and ozone.
  • Produced in 18" x 18" sheets and can be easily cut into predetermined shapes.
