Description

Sylomer® is a PU elastomer which features a celled, compact form and is used in a wide range of applications in the construction and mechanical engineering industries. In most cases, Sylomer® is used as a compression-loaded elastic support element. The characteristics of the elastic support can be adjusted to the structure, construction method and load requirements by selecting the specific type of Sylomer®, the load-bearing area and the thickness.

Sylomer® materials are available as a continuous roll and are particularly well suited as flat, elastic layers. Above and beyond this, engineered moulded parts made of Sylomer® are also available.

Features and benefits:

  • Combination of spring and damping characteristics.
  • Elastic, versatile polyurethane material.
  • Mixed-cell pore structure.
  • High elasticity, long service life.
  • Static range of use of 0.011 N/mm² to 1.2 N/mm².
  • Load peaks up to 6.0 N/mm².
  • Very low amplitude dependence.
  • Proven long-term behaviour.
  • High fatigue strength
  • Finely graded range (ten standard types) for optimum system design.
  • Ability to provide customer-specific modifications.
