Description

Polycarbonate Automatic Opening Vent (AOV) for installation to flat and low pitched roofs. Available with integral upstand or for builders kerb.

Features and benefits:

  • Provides natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilation, alongside day-to-day controllable ventilation.
  • Actuator can be off-set to the left to enable the AOV to also be used for Roof access.
  • Ten year guarantee.
  • Easy installation.
  • The 24 V electrical actuator opens up to 140° in less than 60 seconds, and has a design life of at least 10000 comfort opening cycles and 1000 fire opening cycles.
  • Helps to maximize the amount of natural light in building interiors.
  • Complies with the Building Regulations with regards to fire safety.
  • Has a modern, low-rise profile.
  • Class B non-fragility to ACR[M]001.
  • Highly secure - individual fixings are concealed inside security caps.
  • Minimized risk of condensation due to the constant separation of the glazing skins across the full width of dome.
  • Manufactured in accordance with EN 12101-2 and BS EN ISO 12567-2: 2005.
  • Polycarbonate: The outer dome is manufactured from 3 mm impact resistant Marlon FSX Longlife polycarbonate sheet which is co-extruded with a UV protective coating to both sides. The inner domes are manufactured from 2 mm impact resistant Marlon FSX Longlife polycarbonate sheeting (for both double and triple skin).
  • Excellent waterproofing properties - weathered to the full height of the upstand, water penetration is virtually impossible.
  • Control panel system can be triggered from either manual override switches local to the ventilator and the ground floor, by dedicated smoke detectors, or by interfacing with a third-party smoke detection/ fire alarm system.
