Description

New to Falco’s range of advanced cycle parking infrastructure products, the FalcoCharge-Vault is a safe charging and locker storage system for lithium-ion e-bike batteries.

The lockers unique cylindrical design and innovative pressure relief valve, enable it to resist explosive pressure that occurs during a battery fire, the locker keeps control of the battery fire and associated high temperatures that can reach up to 1,200°C.

The FalcoCharge-Vault locker is completely fire-resistant for an unlimited number of minutes.

The FalcoCharge-Vault locker has been extensively tested with critical defective batteries and is certified by renowned test institutes such as KIWA and MPA Dresden. The FalcoCharge-Vault meets the strictest safety requirements of insurers.

The separate storage of the battery and charger prevents the temperature of the FalcoCharge-Vault from rising unnecessarily, which has a positive effect on the lifespan of a bicycle battery and reduces the risk of ignition.

The FalcoCharge-Vault can be equipped with a safe smoke exhaust outlet to the outside air (=VDMA requirement), so that toxic smoke gases and flying cell particles are discharged to the outside air.

The charging locker can be configured modularly. The charging capacity can therefore be adapted to any specific situation and easily expanded.

The cylindrical design and integrated innovative pressure relief valve of the FalcoCharge-Vault guarantee safe storage and fire-safe charging of lithium batteries. The maximum capacity of the FalcoCharge-Vault is 2,000Wh. In practice, the FalcoCharge-Vault offers space for charging 2 regular bicycle batteries.

FalcoCharge-Vault XL Locker

The FalcoCharge-Vault XL is a larger edition of the FalcoCharge-Vault with a maximum capacity of 3,700Wh. In practice, the FalcoCharge-Vault XL offers space for the fire-safe charging of 4 bicycle batteries.

- If a smoke exhaust with an outlet in the outside air is not possible, the smoke exhaust can be equipped with a smoke detector, which can optionally be linked to an alarm system.

- Although this solution does not comply with the VDMA-guidelines, the FalcoCharge-Vault ensures that the consequences of a battery fire are limited to smoke damage.
