Description

Stretch metal ceiling is achieved by punching slits into a metal sheet, while simultaneously pulling the material apart. This process creates a mesh material. The shape and dimensions of the openings depend on the tool that is used for the punching. Stretch metal has a three-dimensional shape, if desired the material can be milled into a flat sheet

Luxalon® Stretch Metal tiles and planks are used for solutions where either a high level of acoustic absorption is required or where visual and physical transparency of the ceiling is requested. The system is also used for solutions where regular access to the plenum is required.

Features and benefits:

-Tiles:

  • Lay-in tiles and lay-on tiles, either on standard T-profiles or on a bandraster.
  • Unlimited choice in mesh and perforation types offering versatility in ceiling design.
  • Strong acoustic performance when combined with acoustic pads.
  • Easy access into the plenum and to installations above the ceiling system.

-Planks:

  • Installation as lay-on planks, in G-grid or hook-on.
  • Virtually unlimited choice in mesh types offering versatility in ceiling design.
  • Strong acoustic performance when combined with acoustic pads.
  • Easy access to the plenum and installations above the ceiling.
  • An impact-resistant version is available for sport hall applications.
