Description

The TecTies 25/14 Channel System is designed to tie brickwork to concrete columns. The channel has fixing holes for CFS concrete fixing screws and it is recommended that they are positioned at 450 mm vertical centres. Available in standard lengths of 2700 mm.


The 25/14 Channel Ties are supplied in standard lengths of 100 mm, 125 mm, 150 mm, 175 mm, 200 mm, 225 mm, 250 mm, 275 mm and 300 mm projections complete with V Drip. TecTies recommend a minimum embedment of 62.5 mm into masonry.


Features and benefits:

  • Two diameter holes to accept different fixings.
  • Pre-punched holes at close centres to ensure a fixing position is always located near the end.
  • The channel has a 16 mm opening to easily accommodate a drive socket and washer for the High thread stainless steel tek fixing screws.

Manufacturer guidance

CFS Concrete fixings screws are available to accommodate a combined backing board and insulation thickness of up to 267 mm. A 6mm pilot hole is required. A Tecties stainless steel compression sleeve the same depth as the insulation is required with semi rigid insulation. See tables for screw references, technical specifications and fixing centres.


CFS Concrete fixings screws are also available for fixing the channel directly back to concrete where no insulation is present, for further information please contact manufacturer.


Note: concrete strength increases with age and care should be taken when fixing CFS Concrete fixings screws into older concrete. For further information and technical queries please contact the office.
