Alumanation 301 Metal Roof Coating System

Guidance for specification option:

The Alumanation 301 system possess a variety of independently assessed accreditations for performance such as Factory Mutual compliance, Cool Roof Rating Council and a Broof(t4) fire rating under BS EN 13501-5:2016 fire classification of construction products and building elements.

The Alumanation 301 system complies with the performance guidelines set out in relevant UK Building Regulations, BS 6229:2018 Flat roofs with continuously supported flexible waterproof coverings, and LRWA codes of practice.

Alumanation 301 membranes also offer exceptional elongation and gap bridging properties that ensure long term durability.

Guidance for specification option:

Prepare surfaces by removing all loose rusty materials or flaky coatings back to bare metal with a wire brush or by mechanical abrasion. Sweep surface clear of all debris and clean with warm soapy water. Ensure all surfaces to be treated are dry prior to application.

Alumanation 301.

Guidance for specification option:

A rust inhibiting, partially reinforced, asphaltic liquid applied maintenance coating that prevents future oxidation of metal roof sheets. The Alumanation 301 system has excellent elongation properties offering a robust waterproofing solution across metal roof joint panels.

Alumanation 301 is hand-applied in single coat with AlphaGuard PUMA 165g Reinforcement Fabric embedded locally across sheet laps and boltheads to provide additional strength. Alumanation 301 should be applied at a rate 0.8 L/m².

Guidance for specification option:

A strong, stitch bonded, polyester reinforcing fabric that provides enhanced strength to liquid applied membrane systems.

AlphaGuard PUMA 165g Reinforcement Fabric is embedded into the Alumanation 301 coating in localised areas only. AlphaGuard PUMA 165g Reinforcement Fabric should be carefully embedded into the Alumanation 301 coating, lapped by minimum of 50 mm, and laid flat without creases, air pockets or prominent fibres.

TremClip.

Guidance for specification option:

Lightning protection systems are frequently installed to buildings to avoid damaging and costly lightning strikes. TremClip has a threaded securement base that includes a separate retaining clip to secure lightning conductor tape at predefined centres across the roof.

TremFlash.

Guidance for specification option:

A1 non-combustible secondary cover flashing manufactured from soft and workable zinc alloy. Primarily used as lead substitute in flat roof details such as wall chases or abutment flashing.

Ilbruck SP510.

Guidance for specification option:

General purpose low modulus sealant that is silicone free and cures to form a tack free surface. TremSeal mastic can be used to enhance the waterproofing integrity of a wide variety of detailing situations.

Illbruck SP925 Mastic.

Guidance for specification option:

Single component, low-viscosity, seam sealant for strengthening metal sheet laps and protecting substrate penetrations.
