Application

Kalzip FC Facade Rainscreen is suitable for new build and refurbishment projects; can be used with all existing support structures and wall constructions.

Sophisticated and leading installation systems

  • Time-saving installation by latching the system components in - this is especially cost effective
  • Freely selectable installation direction from top to bottom or from bottom to top as well as - surface related - independent of adjacent panels. The benefit: The installation is in sync with the construction progress, connections and fit components can be installed retroactively - for example, it is possible to delay entire facade fields in the traffic area until the outside systems have been completed.
  • Easy latching in of the accessories for fixed point, bend part bracket, etc., in the raster click rail Logistikzentrum SBF Poing, München Architects: io-consultants GmbH & Co. KG
  • Suitable for the installation on all substructures - therefore always the most economic and constructions-physical best solution

Exchanging instead of complete dismantling

  • Easy and fast exchange of damaged panels using the FC tool kit
  • Removal of entire facade surfaces with low time and cost expenditures
  • Guarantee of the optical appearance of the facade at any time

High design flexibility for expressive character

  • Level geometric impression with delicate groove raster
  • Multi-directional installation offers variable design options for architects and planers
  • Optimized production tolerances based on advanced roll-forming technology.
  • Maximum design flexibility due to a variety of construction widths
  • Emphasizing the metallic building enclosure through expressive colors and surfaces
  • As a standard, all panels with head bending at no extra costs

For a sustainable and economic planning

  • Reduced material use through optimized panel geometry.
  • If required, cost-saving exchange of individual panels - a benefit for the building insurance

Description

Non-penetrative facade rainscreen system, which incorporates a fast-to-install, lightweight flat rainscreen panel, suitable for both new build and refurbishment projects.

The system is highly flexible, allowing the installation of the profiles to be carried out in two directions, either from the top down or from the bottom up. This allows for easier and faster installation compared to conventional panel systems, but also allows scaffolding or subsequent construction work to be coordinated independently from the installation process.

Features and benefits

  • Contemporary, visually appealing aesthetics.
  • Various standard profile widths are available, providing flexibility and scope for design.
  • Highly cost-effective through simple and fast installation.
  • Panels can be installed horizontally and vertically.
  • Supported by the proprietary modular click rail or mono-click bracket without the need for screws or rivets.
  • Optimized panel geometry means low inherent weight and reduced use of materials.
  • A wide range of colour and surface finishes with edge folding are available.
  • Internal and external corner panels can be integrated if required.
  • High structural performance.
  • Creation of fixed point with a specially designed fixed point clamp, which allows panel adjustment after installation.
  • In case of damage, the Kalzip® FC rainscreen allows the replacement of individual panels without having to dismantle the entire facade. A panel can be removed quickly and simply using the specially developed tools from the Kalzip® FC tool kit - consult manufacturer for details.
  • The Kalzip FC rainscreen façade system has been tested at the BRE in accordance with the BS 8414 Part 1 test standard and satisfies the requirements of BR 135.

Installation

Installation of the Kalzip FC façade is carried out using proprietary system support rails fixed to an adjustable subconstruction suitable for rainscreens.
The chosen subconstruction should be adjustable to accommodate building tolerances to achieve a plane surface in accordance to ensure the FC Facade system can be installed within the recommended tolerances and specifications.

The FC façade system is supplied with proprietary fixing-free panel supports. The FC panels are inserted and clicked into proprietary modular click rails. To ensure trouble-free panel installation, it is essential that the modular click rails are accurately installed according to the guidelines in the installation manual to give a lined and levelled sub-construction for the FC panels.
