Application

  • Suitable for fixing to steel and concrete.
  • Suitable for use with all insulation types.
  • Suitable for use with a maximum combined insulation and backing board thickness of 220 mm.

Description

Stainless steel slot tie channel for use with partial fill insulation, designed to tie brickwork external walling to a light steel or concrete frame.

System components:

  • 25/14 Channel;
  • High-Thread Fixing Screws;
  • SD25 Wall Ties (specified separately).

Features and benefits:

  • Self-drilling, high-thread screws fix through the channel and the insulation into the steel.
  • Wall ties are located within the channel and built into the joints of the outer leaf brickwork.
  • Vertical channels are fixed to the steel studs through insulation boards placed in the cavity.
  • Pre-punched holes are positioned at close centres to ensure a fixing position is always located near the end, even when the channel is cut on site.
  • The channel has a 16 mm opening to easily accommodate a drive socket and washer for the fixing of screws
  • Alternate 5.3 mm and 9.5 mm diameter holes allow different fixings. The smaller holes should be used when fixing to steel or timber with Ancon High-Thread Screws and the larger holes accommodate fixings for concrete.
  • Ancon SD25 ties are available in various lengths and are located in the channel by rotating through 90º and can be positioned at any point along the channel length and are built into the masonry bed joints of the outer leaf of brickwork.
  • CE marked.
