SASLAB
Drive-in tree anchoring system.
For urban tree planting applications.
The rootball is held in position by driving tree anchors into the base of the tree pit and fastening the ArborGuy ratchet strap. This method of securing trees has many advantages over staking and is suitable for large root-balled trees.
For trees larger than 45 cm girth, use two SASAP kits per tree, six anchor wires positioned equally around the rootball, the two straps installed in a ‘Star of David’ pattern.
Consideration should be given to tree crown shape, size and density, location, and prevailing wind speed. Large,
dense and/or tall crowns in exposed or rooftop situations with high wind speeds may require extra stability.
