ASF 103 Recycled Cast Iron Bollard

A smaller cannon profile bollard that offers an aesthetically pleasing shape. This bollard bridges traditional and contemporary styles nicely, and works really well in colours other than just black.

ASF 103 Cast Iron Bollard is manufactured in 100% recycled cast iron - made from melting down used vehicle brake discs.

This iron offers a very high material grade with all the benefits of the longevity of cast iron: Even if left in bare metal the iron will oxidise and passivate (like corten steel does), and then last an incredibly long time, losing only a few microns in 100 years. If painted and maintained these bollards will last in perpetuity.

Also available in any grade of ductile SG iron, these bollards can be manufactured to be very strong indeed, surpassing material yield strengths unattainable by any other metal except tungsten.

These bollards can also be cast in aluminium, useful as a weight saving options for the removable versions.

ASF 103 bollards can be manufactured as standalone items, or adapted to make railings - post and rail, post and panel or post and chain systems as required. We can even add a steel/stainless steel 'hoop' to make them into decorative cycle stands.

The ASF 103 is a root fixed bollard designed to be cast into the ground, but we also make it removable or fold down into a trough below ground level. The smaller size makes this bollard more useable as a lift out removable bollard, so adapts as a driveway post quite well, offering a much nicer looking solution than the simple steel and stainless steel security posts.

The bollard collar is ideal for a band to be painted in a contrasting colour, or to host a reflective band.

LED lighting modules can be added to this bollard, offering both decorative and task lighting options, with light good enough to meet any footpath or walkway requirements.

Bollards can be converted to make post and rail or post and panel systems, and matching gates and access control points can be incorporated.

Bollards can be manufactured with a ground socket to make them removable, or to fold down below ground level into a trough.
