Many current electrical back boxes are designed only for electrical connections with little fire protection. Astro Blazetrap^® ROBS addresses this with a stainless steel electrical back box featuring a injection-moulded intumescent insert (ROBS intumescent system) made from high-quality exfoliated graphite.

Innovative technology:

The ROBS intumescent system reacts when exposed to fire, forming a solid char around cables, thus insulating the substrate, thereby starving the fire of essential elements for combustion and preventing the passage of fire from one compartment to another. This technology is patented and trademarked.
