Non-hydraulic lime putty basecoat plaster with fibres.
Application
For internal plaster base-coats (dubbing, pricking-up/ scratch, and float) where a soft, porous, permeable plaster is appropriate.
Description
Non-hydraulic lime putty basecoat plaster produced from six month mature chalk lime putty mixed with washed medium sands at a ratio of 1:2½ by volume.
Features and benefits:
- Standard basecoat SPH5, has polypropylene and sisal fibres added at a rate equivalent to 2½ kg of animal hair per tonne.
- SPH8 with extra fibres (equivalent to 4 kg of animal hair per tonne) is used for the ‘pricking-up’ coat to ceiling laths.
- Coverage: approx. 50 m²/tonne at 10 mm thickness.
- Environmentally sustainable product.
