Description

The BEMO Tekofix A++ Helping Hand System is an advanced, energy-efficient substructure system specifically engineered for ventilated façade applications. Designed and patented by BEMO, with building envelope technologies at the forefront of their minds, the Tekofix A++ system addresses the growing demands for thermal efficiency, structural integrity, and sustainability in modern architectural façades.

The Tekofix A++ helping hand system is a high-performance bracket and rail solution that forms the core of a rear-ventilated façade assembly. It acts as the essential intermediary between the primary load-bearing wall and the visible cladding, providing both structural support and precise alignment of façade panels. This system is designed for both vertical and horizontal rail applications, offering architects and contractors flexibility across a wide range of façade materials, including metal panels, GFRC, stone, terracotta, ceramic, and composite panels.

The system is easy to install, with intuitive components that reduce labour time and errors on site. It is compatible with a wide range of façade systems and can be integrated with custom-designed cladding layouts, including curves and complex geometries. The system allows for hidden or visible fixing methods, depending on the aesthetic and technical requirements of the project.

Features and benefits:

  • Thermal break optimization - the "A++" designation refers to its enhanced thermal performance. The consoles incorporate high-performance stainless steel and aluminium components that virtually eliminates thermal bridging between the exterior cladding and the interior of the building. Chi values for the consoles are shown below with each being Passive House certified:
    • 0.0016 to 0.0024 W/K.
    • 0.0029 to 0.0041 W/K.
  • Adjustable helping hand brackets - the system employs adjustable “helping hand” brackets, allowing for accurate on-site alignment and levelling of the façade. This adjustability makes the system ideal for use on uneven or irregular building substrates, ensuring a flat and true façade plane regardless of structural imperfections in the substrate. Brackets are also available in various lengths to accommodate different insulation thicknesses and façade projection requirements. Adjustment mechanisms enable precise positioning of the vertical T- and horizontal L-profiles, which are the mounting rails for the cladding.
  • High load-bearing capacity - the Tekofix A++ system is engineered for durability and strength, suitable for all buildings, even in areas exposed to high wind loads. The brackets are designed and tested to handle significant structural loads, up 75 kg/m², while maintaining minimal deformation, ensuring long-term performance and façade stability.
  • Corrosion resistance and longevity - manufactured from high-grade, aluminium and stainless steel, the system offers excellent resistance to corrosion and environmental degradation. This ensures a long service life with minimal maintenance, even under harsh weather conditions or in coastal environments.
