Application

Suitable for applications requiring high slip resistance including rural boardwalks, public gardens, disabled access platforms, walkways, balconies, steps and ramp.

Description

Redwood timber decking board with a central 0.5–1.4 mm double washed Guyanan calcined bauxite aggregate anti-slip insert strip.


Features and benefits:

  • Modern appearance.
  • High level slip resistance.
  • Independently tested to BS 7976.
  • Made from high-quality slow grown Redwood timber, with smaller live knots.
  • Close grain of the timber provides good working properties for machining to profile and is less liable to splitting or cracking.
  • The moisture content and cell structure of the Redwood timber allows better penetration of the preservative treatment.
  • Low maintenance, no further preservative treatment is necessary.
  • Can be stained or painted.
  • Vacuum/ pressure treated to meet the requirements of Use Class 3.2 (BS EN 335), which gives an expected in service life of 15-years.
  • Also available with preservative treatment to Use Class 4 for an expected in service life of 25 years and a preservative treatment that complies with the Highways Agency Sector 4 Scheme which gives an expected life of 30 years.
  • Pressure washable.
  • Operated to the United Kingdom Slip Resistance Group (UKSRG).

  • Fixing: The manufacturer recommends that Gripsure Boardwalk is fitted using Spax Wirox C4 decking screws.
