Breather membrane for roofs, timber and steel frame walls.
For use in timber and steel frame constructions and as a roofing underlay.
Daltex® FrameTX® Maxi is a vapour permeable, air barrier, high performance breather membrane, for use in timber and steel frame constructions and as a roofing underlay. It is durable, flexible and lightweight allowing for easy installation, and offers temporary protection for timber frames against wind driven rain, snow & dust.
Features and benefits:
Rolls should be stored flat or on a clean, level surface and kept under cover. Once the underlay is applied to the roof, the primary roof covering should be installed within one month.
Method of installation:
Roofing - The membrane should be installed as detailed in National Building Regulations and relevant agreement certification for this product. Any guidelines concerning installation that are supplied with the product should be consulted prior to laying. For general information – the membrane should be unrolled across the roof with the inside of the roll facing up and draped a minimum of 150 mm onto the proprietary eaves carrier. The membrane should be fixed to the rafters or boarded sarking, subsequent rows should be lapped by 150 mm to shed water out and down the slope. Adjacent rolls should be lapped by 100 mm.
Walling - Any guidelines concerning installation that are supplied with the product should be consulted prior to laying. For general information – unroll the breather membrane and fit directly to the timber sheathing ensuring that the lower base timbers are covered. Lap the breather membrane by 100 mm horizontally, 150 mm vertically and external corners by 300 mm. Upper layers should overlap lower to shed water away from the sheathing.
