One-coat flame-retardant basecoat which forms part of the certified Pyroshield system for upgrading reaction to fire surface classifications.
Ideal for use in communal areas of public buildings, where reducing fire risk is a priority.
Suitable for all plaster-based interior wall and ceiling surfaces and previously painted concrete.
Flame-retardant Pyroshield Basecoat was developed as part of the certified and approved Pyroshield system for upgrading the reaction-to-fire surface classification of existing internal finishes.
Only one coat of Basecoat required when using the full Matt upgraded system (or two coats if using the Eggshell upgraded system).
The Pyroshield system is designed to upgrade multi-layered previously painted walls and ceilings to meet fire regulations and protect occupants by delaying the spread of flames.
Tested as part of a system over Class 4 boards at BS476 Part 6 & 7 gaining an overall Class 0 (upgrades Class 4 surfaces with a high build-up of historic paint) Water-based formulation minimizes preparation time, disruption and labour costs.
