Description

DURASTEEL® is a composite board manufactured with a fibre reinforced cement core, with outer facings of 0.5 mm thick perforated galvanized steel sheet mechanically bonded to both outer surfaces of the core. Other steel finishes such as stainless steel are also available for use where greater resistance to corrosion is required. DURASTEEL® systems combine strength, impact resistance and durability with up to 240 minutes fire resistance. These systems remain resistant to firefighters hoses leaving the boards capable of performing their original function even in the aftermath of a fire.

Warranty description	- Manufacturer guidance Etex Building Performance Limited warrants that our passive fire protection products and component parts, when installed in the building originally designed, built and unaltered in accordance with the conditions and procedures set out in Promat Passive Fire Protection Handbook, this specification document and associated CAD drawings; and any specific technical recommendations made in relation to the above project, shall be durable and free from defects due to faulty manufacturing or factory workmanship. The system must be installed by a 3rd party accredited fire protection contractor, and where included in the specification, solely with proprietary products and components as supplied by Etex Building Performance Limited. The scope of this warranty will be dependent on the application and the environment in which the products are being installed.

Horizontal Noggings: 150 x 60 x 3 mm CRC at horizontal board joints. Connected to CRC framing using steel angle cleats. Linings	9.5 mm thick DURASTEEL® on both sides of framing.
Fasteners	Fixed through the CRC framing and fillets using M5.5 x 55 mm self-drill and tap TEK screws.
System completion	FSi Promat Pyrolastic® Fire Resistant Sealant. Guidance for specification option: Designed to seal any slight gaps at interfaces between the boards and the substrate, and provide a fire seal for linear gaps, which have low movement requirements (±7.5%). Contains no solvents or halogen compounds.
