A decorative concrete which is durable, with a slip resistant finish suitable for outdoor surfaces.
It has been designed to comply with the requirements of BS EN 206-1 Concrete Part 1: Specification performance, production and conformity, and with the requirements of BS 8500.
Features and benefits:
When designing a slab, Exposa® will behave in exactly the same way as conventional concrete. Slab thickness and reinforcing requirements should be designed the same as conventional concrete. Particular attention should be given to joint spacing, bay sizes and shapes to avoid random cracking. Joints can incorporate other materials, such as paving, blocks or cobbles to add the aesthetic appeal of the overall project.
To prevent ingress of dirt and staining, it is possible to seal the surface of Exposa®. This will enhance the colour and help reduce maintenance and cleaning. The concrete should be cleaned prior to sealing and allowed to dry, then sealer applied. Follow sealer manufacturer’s instructions for use on exposed aggregate concrete.
