Description

The Harlequin WoodSpring sprung dance floor is a permanently installed sprung floor system. It’s a modern update of the traditional ‘basket weave’ construction that originated in the 19th Century but with 21st Century advancements.


Harlequin WoodSpring comprises a layer of select WBP plywood, a triple-layer of custom machined southern yellow pine laid at right angles, with shock absorption and energy return enhanced by dual density elastomer blocks attached at predetermined intervals to the underside.


General:

  • Finish: Solid wood in Oak, Beech, Maple, recommended 20 mm.
  • Lower layers: Triple layer of custom machined southern yellow pine and dual density shock dampening elastomer blocks.
  • Total thickness: 82 mm without the Harlequin performance surface.


Tested in accordance with EN 14904-2006:

  • Shock absorption: 64%.
  • Vertical deformation: 3.3 mm.
  • Area deflection: 14.9%.
  • Rolling load: >1500 N.
  • Theatre Stage Concentrated Load: 3.6 kN/m2 (367 kg/m2).
  • Theatre Stage Blanket Load: 5.0 kN/m2 (509 kg/m2).
