Description

The HD1006 Hush System 1 is a fully developed economical sound insulation system between separating floors.

It is ideal for upgrading the acoustic performance of timber separating floors in historic or listed buildings where the existing lath and plaster ceiling needs to remain fully intact.

HD1006 Hush System 1 enables the upgrading of the floor/ceiling construction from the floor side only, by combining a number of Hush Acoustics' high quality sound insulation products. These include Hush Fill 60 Heavy Pugging, Hush Slab 100 sound absorber panels and Hush Felt 25 Resilient Joist Strip.

Tested as a complete system, HD1006 exceeds the requirements of all the UK Building Regulations covering acoustic performance - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Section 5 (Scotland) and Part G (Northern Ireland).

Whilst this system is ideal for many refurbishment and conversion projects, it can also be used in new build applications created using timber separating floors to achieve excellent acoustic performance.

How HD1006 Hush System 1 is formed:

Hush Felt 25 Resilient Strips are stapled to joist tops, with 18mm tongue and groove flooring grade chipboard glued above using Hush Bond, and all perimeters sealed using Hush-Seal 20.
Hush Mesh Firewire is dressed down the sides of the joists and across the back of the ceiling in the form of trays.
Hush Slab 100 absorber slabs are fitted between the joists resting on the firewire tray.
Hush Fill 60 is laid on a 9mm plywood shelf between the joists.
