Hush Bars are designed for use in acoustic walls and ceiling systems to provide the isolation needed to reduce sound transmission.
They are suitable for suspending up to 30 kg/m² and can be used in all kinds of domestic and non-domestic projects, new build, refurbishment and conversion, including:
Hush Bar resilient bars are suitable for suspending up to 30 kg/m², and provide excellent acoustical performance.
Hush Bars are screw fixed to the underside of joists at 600 mm centres, running at 90º to the direction of the joists. 36 mm domed head are recommended for fixing of the Hush Bar to the joists.
Use drywall screws when fixing the plasterboard layers to the Hush Bar. The bars are supplied in packs of 10 pieces.
