Suitable for:

Refurbishment of metal profiled roofs.
Use as a cladding coating system: When applied to vertical cladding, the system provides a highly effective barrier against graffiti.

Description

Two-component liquid metal roof coating and non-ghosting, anti-graffiti metal cladding coating. Incorporates marine-grade cut edge corrosion treatment.

Features and benefits:

Composed of a specially formulated silicone polymer to provide a hardened finish.
Will actively repel water and resist environmental dirt pick-up, including moss and lichen growth.
Can be used in conjunction with Liquasil corrosion primers.
Provides a decorative, protective finish to roof surfaces.
Cost effective.
Can be easily applied via airless spray, roller or brush.
Suitable for use on smaller and larger metal roofs with a single coat.
Will not allow posters or stickers to be stuck to the surface.
25 year product-only warranty provided as standard.
Repels most common graffiti attacks (washes off with water and detergent).

Components (in order of application):

SWT Corrosion Primer: Two-part epoxy comprising the primer (part A) and the hardener (part B). Rust and wet tolerant for application to all metal fixings such as hook bolts to prevent rust from breaking through the coating.
Metalseal 20: Permanent coating system for external refurbishment of metal profile roof systems.

Surface preparation:

In most cases, Metalseal 20 will be applied directly to an existing, aged coating or factory finish. In cases where substrate delamination is apparent, the existing substrate must be removed by one of the following methods:

3–4000 psi pressure wash with turbo lance.
Vapour blasting using appropriate Quill Falcon Kwikblast system.

Can be applied by brush, roller or airless spray.

Manufacturer recommends the use of Xylene for cleaning spray lines after the airless spray application of the Metalseal 20 component.

Brushes and rollers are sacrificial.

Consult manufacturer's literature for further details on spray application guidelines.

Caution - spraying Metalseal 20 in windy conditions can result in overspray. To mitigate this, protective barriers should be employed at height where possible.
