Polymer-modified bitumen waterproofing system with green roof.
New build and refurbishment green roof applications. Suitable for applications in low temperature conditions.
For high humidity buildings (> Class 3 to BS 5250) a foil lined or foil faced product should be used - Consult manufacturer for details.
Paralon Antiroot is an APP and SBS modified bitumen polymer waterproofing membrane manufactured using special chemical additives, and intended for waterproofing green roofs.
The Paralon range of waterproofing membranes may be used in new build and refurbishment applications and are suitable for applications in low temperature conditions. Paralon remains flexible at low temperatures and exhibits high resistance to thermal stress.
Paralon membranes are manufactured with a sanded upper surface. The lower face is coated with Termotene® fusible film which aids unrolling and facilitates torch bonding to various substrates.
The membranes performance is obtained by coextrusion of the PARALLOY® compound which combines the best characteristics of SBS and APP compounds, using suitable additives with special chemical substances (fatty acids, phenoxide, esterified) that give the product a long-lasting anti-root effect, and a reinforcing mat of “non-woven fabric” made with continuous polyester thread.
The Paralon APP/SBS bitumen compound’s special formulation ensures high mechanical performance, cold flexibility at temperatures down to –20°C and excellent fatigue strength. Paralon membranes contain no asbestos, tar or other dangerous substances.
Whilst Paralon membranes can be included in compliant BROOF (t4) systems, always check with MOY Technical Services for the latest information on testing carried out. British Board of Agrément (BBA) certified, Irish Agrément (NSAI) certified, CE marked.
