Encasement system using non-combustible mineral bound lightweight boards.
Promat PROMATECT®-XW is a mineral-bound lightweight board, which can provide a high degree of strength and dimensional stability. The board is classified as A1 non-combustible according to BS EN 13501-1.
Promat PROMATECT®-XW board is moisture resistant and can provide up to 60 minutes of fire protection to structural steel. The board is edge stapled, which is a fast method of installation, resulting in a more economical solution when compared to other systems or technologies.

Warranty description | Manufacturer guidanceEtex Building Performance Limited warrants that our passive fire protection products and component parts, when installed in the building originally designed, built and unaltered in accordance with the conditions and procedures set out in Promat Passive Fire Protection Handbook, this specification document and associated CAD drawings; and any specific technical recommendations made in relation to the above project, shall be durable and free from defects due to faulty manufacturing or factory workmanship. The system must be installed by a 3rd party accredited fire protection contractor, and where included in the specification, solely with proprietary products and components as supplied by Etex Building Performance Limited. The scope of this warranty will be dependent on the application and the environment in which the products are being installed. |
