Protan UK BlueProof Mechanically Fixed - BP Membrane - Cold Roof System

Water attenuation blue roofing system for new and existing roofs that includes Protan BP and BPX 1.8 mm thick roofing membranes, manufactured from PVC with a polyester reinforced core. To be installed as exposed roofing, allowing rainwater to accumulate to a predefined maximum level and be stored on the roof for a certain amount of time after rainfall. Water run-off is then gradually permitted into the into the building's drainage system before entering the drainage network. This avoids water overloading, which can result in flooding. Joint welding is carried out using hot air.

• Membrane is manufactured from pliable PVC reinforced with knitted polyester. The PVC contains stabilizers that provide fire resistance and make the product UV stable and resistant to both high and low temperatures. The membrane remains flexible at low temperatures, during installation and use.

Can be used on the following:

• Concrete roof decking.
• Plywood WBP to BS 5268-2 and BS EN 636-3, minimum thickness 18 mm.
• Roofing Grade OSB to BS EN 300, Grade 3 and minimum thickness 18 mm.

Manufacturer recommends that at least one additional overflow is installed into the parapet for protection.
