Application

The system is suitable for use without a sub-base. However if an area is prone to water retention or ponding then it is advisable to replace the existing earth/ soil with porous Macadam, porous Concrete, Compacted MOT Stone (Type 1 or 3) which are suitable sub bases.
Description
Recycle Trail rubber and stone system is a durable, flexible and impact absorbing surfacing system. The system utilizes a specially formulated range of polyurethane binders combined with recycled rubber granules and aggregates to offer both performance and sustainability at an affordable price.
The systems consists of:
- Recycled rubber and aggregate top surface, 40 mm minimum depth. The system comprises of a 50/50 blend by weight of a 2–6 mm SBR rubber and a 1–4 mm aggregate.
- Earth/ Stone SUB BASE layer: Variable depth, minimum 150 mm.
The critical fall height value depending on the total surface thickness varies from 1.3–3.0 m (awaiting test outcome verification). Consult manufacturer for further details.
