130 mm-thick plain, foil or tissue-faced soffit slab
Robust stone wool slab for thermal, acoustic and fire insulation for concrete soffits.
The ROCKWOOL® Soffit Slab is a mineral wool fire-resistant insulation that also offers important acoustic and thermal benefits for concrete soffits.
The Soffit Slab has been created to provide a cost-effective fire resistant and thermal insulation solution for structural elements such as concrete car park soffits. The Soffit Slab is manufactured from non-combustible rigid ROCKWOOL® board and has been designed with a variety of facings. To suit requirements of design schemes, it is available with a black or white tissue facing, aluminium foil facing, un-faced and also with a non-combustible high impact board. The rigid ROCKWOOL insulation board also offers excellent thermal and acoustic performance - available in various thicknesses, it provides up to four hours protection, for concrete soffits. The ROCKWOOL® Soffit Slab is water repellent and breathable.
Features and benefits:
Fire performance:
ROCKWOOL® Soffit Slab achieves a reaction to fire classification of A1 as defined in BS EN 13501-1. Soffit Slabs have been tested to BS 476:Part 21 to offer fire protection to reinforced concrete floors.
Thermal performance:
Thermal resistance of un-faced Soffit Slab:
A typical construction comprising of a 150 mm concrete floor slab underlined with 130 mm thick Soffit Slab would achieve a U-value of 0.25 W/m²K. A U-value of 0.20 W/m²K can be achieved using 160 mm thick Soffit Slab.
