Sika® Sarnafil Single Ply Membrane (Adhered Warm Roof System with Ballast)

A PVC, multi-layer, fully adhered, lacquered matt finish, weldable sheet membrane system with a glass fibre reinforcing inlay and polyester fleece backing for roof waterproofing. Contains ultraviolet light stabilizers and flame retardants to provide a colour stable, fast installation, low maintenance and durable membrane.

System includes:

• Surface Finish: Minimum 50mm thick concrete paving slabs (by others) / Minimum 50 mm thick 20-40 mm well-rounded river washed stone ballast (by others).
• Protection Layer: Sarnafil® G 445-13.
• Waterproofing: Sarnafil® G410-15 EL / G410-18 EL (Colour - Light Grey).
• Waterproofing Attachment: SikaRoof® Adhesive-400 Spray / Sarnacol®-2170 (subject to Sika® specification).
• Insulation: Sikatherm® PIR GT Insulation / Sikatherm® PIR GT Tapered Insulation / Sikatherm® MW DD Insulation / Sikatherm® MW DD Tapered Insulation.
• Insulation Attachment: Sika® C250 Spray / SikaRoof® Adhesive 200.
• AVCL: SikaShield® VB E71 PE SA 2,4 mm/ SikaShield® VB P41 S 3mm / S-Vap 5000E SA.
• Primer: Sika® Primer 610 Spray.

-Protection Layer:

Sarnafil G 445-13 is a protection sheet based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with inlay of glass non-woven containing flame retardant.

- Waterproofing:

Sarnafil® G 410- EL is a multi-layer, synthetic roof waterproofing sheet based on premium- quality polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with inlay of glass non-woven containing ultraviolet light stabilizers and flame retardant according to EN 13956.

• A hot air weldable roof membrane, formulated for direct exposure and designed to use in all global climatic conditions.
• Produced with an integral glass non-woven carrier for dimensional stability.
• The membrane has a unique lacquer coating applied to the top of the membrane.
• The product has no built-in stress at the time of production and has a fully encapsulated carrier with no risk to delamination or water-wicking. The dimensional stability is excellent.

- Waterproofing Attachment:

• SikaRoof® Adhesive-400 Spray is a one-part, polyurethane based, moisture-curing, spray applied contact ashesive in a pressurized canister system.
• Sarnacol®-2170 is a one-part, nitrile rubber based solvented contact adhesive.

- Insulation:

Sikatherm® PIR GT/Tapered is an insulation board for flat roofing. It is faced on both sides with a coated glass tissue bonded to the insulation core and produces a tough, durable, light weight insulation board.

Sikatherm® MW /Tapered is an insulation board, faced with a mineral fibre tissue, bonded to the insulation core during the manufacturing process. The core of Sikatherm is high performance mineral wool with a typical density of 220 kg/m³ (top layer).

- Insulation Attachment:

• Sika® C-250 Spray is a one-part, polyurethane based, moisture-curing, spray applied insulation adhesive in a pressurised canister system.
• SikaRoof® Adhesive-200 is a polyurethane 1- part, cold applied, foam adhesive that bonds insulation boards to various types of construction material substrates.

- AVCL:

• SikaShield® VB E71 PE SA is an SBS modified bituminous, adhered air vapour control layer. It is reinforced with aluminium foil and a dimensionally stable non-woven polyester inlay. The underside has a removable liner over the adhesive compound for an easy application. It can be applied to wood, metal and concrete substrates. Top surface finish: sanded bitumen. Weight:~3.0 kg/m².
• Sarnavap® 5000E SA is a multi-layer adhered vapour control layer made of polymer modified bitumen with a glass-fibre mat reinforcement and an aluminium foil as top layer.
• SikaShield® VB P41 S 3 mm is an APP modified bituminous roofing air & vapour control layer with a thickness of 3 mm and flexible at -10 °C. It is reinforced with aluminium foil and glass fibre to provide a barrier to the passage of air and vapour. The top surface is coated with sand to improve the bond to insulation boards with cold adhesives. The underside of the product has a burn-off film for easy torch-application.

- Primer:

• Primer-610 Spray: Solvent-based synthetic-rubber bonding agent in a pressurized canister system.
