Description

Adhered warm roof system based around the Sikaplan® SGK membrane.

Features and benefits:

Sikaplan® SGK is a multi-layer, synthetic roof waterproofing sheet based on premium-quality polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with inlay of glass non-woven and polyester fleece backing according to EN 13956, and has the following features:

  • Outstanding resistance to weathering, including permanent UV irradiation.
  • High resistance to ageing.
  • High resistance to hailstones.
  • Resistant to all common environmental influences.
  • High resistance to mechanical influences.
  • High tensile strength.
  • High dimensional stability.
  • Excellent flexibility in cold temperatures.
  • High water vapour permeability.
  • Outstanding weldability.
  • Optimized adhesion to substrate by polyester fleece backing.
  • Polyester backing provides separation to bitumen surfaces.
  • Recyclable.

- Insulation:

Sikatherm® PIR GT/ Tapered is an insulation board for flat roofing. It is faced on both sides with a coated glass tissue bonded to the insulation core and produces a tough, durable, light weight insulation board.

Sikatherm® MW / Tapered is an insulation board, faced with a mineral fibre tissue, bonded to the insulation core during the manufacturing process. The core of Sikatherm is high performance mineral wool with a typical density of 220 kg/m³ (top layer).

- Insulation Attachment:

  • Sika® C-250 Spray is a one-part, polyurethane based, moisture-curing, spray applied insulation adhesive in a pressurized canister system.
  • SikaRoof® Adhesive-200 is a polyurethane 1- part, cold applied, foam adhesive that bonds insulation boards to various types of construction material substrates.

- AVCL:

  • SikaShield® VB E71 PE SA is an SBS modified bituminous, adhered air vapour control layer. It is reinforced with aluminium foil and a dimensionally stable non-woven polyester inlay. The underside has a removable liner over the adhesive compound for an easy application. It can be applied to wood, metal and concrete substrates. Top surface finish: sanded bitumen. Weight:~3.0 kg/m².
  • Sarnavap® 5000E SA is a multi-layer adhered vapour control layer made of polymer modified bitumen with a glass-fibre mat reinforcement and an aluminium foil as top layer.
  • SikaShield® VB P41 S 3 mm is an APP modified bituminous roofing air & vapour control layer with a thickness of 3 mm and flexible at -10 °C. It is reinforced with aluminium foil and glass fibre to provide a barrier to the passage of air and vapour. The top surface is coated with sand to improve the bond to insulation boards with cold adhesives. The underside of the product has a burn-off film for easy torch-application.

- Primer:

  • Primer-610 Spray: Solvent-based synthetic-rubber bonding agent in a pressurized canister system.
