Description

SUPALUX® is a non-combustible calcium silicate board reinforced with selected fibres and fillers, is resistant to the effects of moisture and will not be subject to physical or performance deterioration when used in damp or humid conditions. The strong rigid board can be installed before the building is watertight, making it especially suitable in semi-exposed applications such as shaftwalls, carparks or plantrooms. It is classified A1 non-combustible according to BS EN 13501-1. Promat SUPALUX® is off-white in colour and has a smooth finish on one face with a sanded reverse face, it can be left undecorated or easily finished with paint.

Warranty description	- Manufacturer guidance Etex Building Performance Limited warrants that our passive fire protection products and component parts, when installed in the building originally designed, built and unaltered in accordance with the conditions and procedures set out in Promat Passive Fire Protection Handbook, this specification document and associated CAD drawings; and any specific technical recommendations made in relation to the above project, shall be durable and free from defects due to faulty manufacturing or factory workmanship. The system must be installed by a 3rd party accredited fire protection contractor, and where included in the specification, solely with proprietary products and components as supplied by Etex Building Performance Limited. The scope of this warranty will be dependent on the application and the environment in which the products are being installed.

Guidance for specification option: Perimeter angles bedded on FSi Promat Pyrocoustic® Fire Resistant Sealant, fixed to surrounding construction using minimum M4 x 32 mm long steel screws into non-combustible plugs or using UPAT U-DN 6/35 anchors or equivalent at maximum 400 mm centres. Manufacturer guidance Fire rated concealed steel channel system. Cross channels positioned between primary channels at board joints and connected to primary channels using interlocking steel connectors that fit into primary channel. The primary channels are suspended at maximum 1000 mm centres using rigid hangers connected to steel hanger rods.
Suspension grid fasteners	Bulkhead primary channel and hangers: M5.5 x 25 mm self-drill and tap TEK screws. Perimeter channel fixing: Evolution 6 x 40 mm long metal anchors. Channels/ Bulkhead corner and edges: 12 mm wafer head screw. Manufacturer guidance Hanger rods are fixed to the concrete soffit using proprietary all-steel ring anchors or hook anchors, minimum size 5 mm (e.g. Hilti HA8 anchors or equivalent). Alternatively, they are fixed to the steel beams using proprietary steel flange clips.

Fire resistance	120 minutes integrity and 15 minutes insulation, fire exposure from below in accordance with EN 1364-2.
