Tactile paving slabs to assist the blind and partially sighted at different types of crossing zones.
Suitable for all pedestrian areas and light traffic areas.
Refer to the relevant part of BS 7533 for the correct sub-base design for applications.
Tactile Slabs are designed to assist pedestrians who are visually impaired or blind. Tactile slabs are available in three colours to enhance the distinction between roadways and adjoining paving.
Hazard warning slabs alert pedestrians to a hazard that requires caution – for example, at the top and bottom of a flight of stairs. It is recommended that the surface be in a contrasting colour to the surrounding area so as to assist partially sighted people.
Cycleway tactile paving slabs indicate to pedestrians the beginning or end of shared pedestrian & cycle routes which are not separated by different levels. Available in buff of natural.
