TapcoSlate Classic


Features and benefits:

  • Authentically shaped with textured surfaces and riven edges moulded from authentic slates.
  • Will not crack, break or delaminate.
  • Manufactured from recyclable virgin limestone and polypropylene.
  • Pitch: 12–70°.
  • Lightweight; as low as 12 kg/m².
  • Easy to install with pre-marked nailing and exposure guides and spacers.
  • Easily cut with a fine-toothed saw or sharp utility blade.
  • Built-in camber for tighter fit when fixed in situ.
  • No sorting, clipping, or drilling prior to roof loading.
  • Fittings (ridges and hips) are mechanically fixed.
  • Choice of colours (seven standard colours and one mix).
  • Fully tested to BBA, UKTA and ETA standards, and has UKCA and CE marking, including fire rating, wind, driven snow & rain, and water absorption.

  • Barge boards: decorative and protective boards fitted along the gable ends of the roof, enhancing aesthetics and providing additional weather resistance.
  • Eaves protection system: system designed to protect the eaves and provide support for the first course of tiles, ensuring effective water runoff.
  • Fixing kits: comprehensive kit containing all necessary screws, nails, and clips for the secure installation of ExtraLight tiles and associated components.
