Topseal PU - Polyurethane roofing system

A high performance, moisture-cured, single component, glass fibre-reinforced aliphatic polyurethane (PU) roofing system.

System components:

The roof waterproofing system includes:

• Topseal PU Primer (if required).
• Topseal PU Basecoat.
• Topseal PU Topcoat fully reinforced with 225 g/m² chopped strand reinforcing mat.

Features and benefits:

• Totally seamless, no joints, seams, or welds.
• Ultraviolet (UV) resistant.
• A liquid formula which allows complex detailing to be simplified.
• The membrane does not become brittle with age.
• It is a fully bonded system, resistant to wind uplift.
• Resistant to temperatures over 60°C for sustained periods of time.
• Will not chalk – remains aesthetically pleasing and less prone to early failure.
• Cold applied system which requires no hot works, making it very safe to use. The system is also solvent-free, making it low odour.
• Suitable for use on larger projects as there are no size restrictions, requirements of expansion joints or trims at junction details. This saves both time and money on labour and materials.
• The roof will withstand foot traffic.
• Optional slate granules can be added to the finish to provide a non-slip, hardwearing surface.
• Paving slabs and decking can be installed onto a fully cured system.
• Easily repaired in the unlikely event the membrane becomes damaged, simple recoat the damaged areas with the Topseal PU system.
• A guarantee is available for 20- or 25-years dependent on the requirement of the project. An optional insolvency guarantee and a ten-year Insurance Backed Guarantee is also available, consult manufacturer for details.
• The 25-year system carries EXT AA fire rating to BS 476-3: 2004 and B Roof (t4) to BS ENV 1187: 2002.
• The system is only available to Topseal Approved Contractors and not available off the shelf.

Topseal PU Pitched Roof System:

• Suitable waterproofing system for all types of pitched and corrugated (asbestos sheet) sloping roofs with a pitch greater than 15°. Requiring only local reinforcing to joints, seams and overlaps this high build, moisture triggered system provides a cost-effective and versatile system for long term waterproofing.
• All areas of the roof are encapsulated and protected against water ingress.
• Non-foaming removes the likelihood of air entrapment and blisters.
