Description

The Traditional Patent Glazing system has a proven track record for combining economy with outstanding performance across a wide range of applications.

The Traditional Patent Glazing system is a tried and tested solution which combines economy and performance and can be the optimum choice if you need a patent glazing solution for unheated spaces such as railway stations, glazed canopies, and covered thoroughfares ways where thermal properties are not a major concern.

Since it was introduced, the Traditional Patent Glazing system has been installed on thousands of projects including many architecturally important buildings and several acres of railway station roof glazing.

The Traditional Patent Glazing system features a range of glazing bars that can accommodate light spans as well as large unsupported spans up to 5,560mm. The bars feature an inverted ‘T’ design, with its strength provided by an external stalk. The system will accommodate single glazing of any thickness as well as solid and multiwall polycarbonate sheets up to 30mm thick.

Traditional Patent Glazing bars can also be used with double glazed units when compliance with Building Regulations part L is not a requirement.

Weather protection is provided by a choice of extruded aluminium screw-on and snap-on cappings or extruded aluminium screw-on wings.

Features and benefits:

  • The external stalk provides strength.
  • Can accommodate single and double glazing, as well as solid and multiwall polycarbonate sheets up to 30 mm thicknesses.
  • Available with both screw-on and snap-on cappings.
  • Can be combined with opening vents to offer a complete glazing solution.
  • Available in a range of glazing bars to achieve light spans as well as unsupported spans up to 5560 mm.
